New CEO of BZWBK SA

On 1 May 2007 Mr Mateusz Morawiecki tookup the role of Bank Zachodni WBK Management Board’s President.

 

Commenting on the appointment of Mr Mateusz Morawiecki, BZWBK Supervisory Board Chairman, Mr Aleksander Szwarc said: “I am delighted that Mr Mateusz Morawiecki has been appointed to this position. He will head a very good management team while his experience will be invaluable in supporting the development of this institution. I am confident that under his leadership BZWBK will continue to be a modern customer friendly bank with steadily growing shareholder value. Mateusz Morawiecki, Member of the Bank’s Management Board in charge of the Business Support Division

 

Born in 1968. Graduate from Wrocław University, Business Administration Central Connecticut State University and Wrocław Technical University (Politechnika Wrocławska), MBA studies at Wrocław School of Economics, Hamburg University and Basel University.

 

Mateusz Morawiecki started his professional career in 1992 in the Cogito company. In the years 1993-1996, he worked in the Wrocławbased Enter Marketing-Publishing company, while in 1998 he was Deputy Director of the Accession Negotiations in the Committee for European Integration. From 1998 until 2001, he worked in Bank Zachodni - first as an advisor to the President of the Management Board, then as a member of the Management Board and managing director. In June 2001, Mateusz Morawiecki became a member of Bank Zachodni WBK Management Board.

 

Mateusz Morawiecki is married, with two children.
